Gaydamak buys old Russian Embassy building for $9m

The Russian Embassy was built in 1924 and designed by architect Yehuda Magidovich for the Levin family, one of Tel Aviv wealthiest families at the time. After changes in ownership, it became the Embassy of the USSR after Israel’s independence in 1948. The property has been unoccupied since the Russian Embassy moved to Ramat Gan.
