The Israel Land Administration will market land for 25,000 housing units during 2007.

The Israel Land Administration (ILA) will market land for 25,000 housing units during 2007, 30% more land than in 2006, when it marketed land for 17,200 housing units. The increase is because of the release of rezoned land at kibbutzim and moshavim.

The Israel Police Economic Crimes Unit today arrested a senior Israel Land Administration (ILA) employee on suspicion of accepting bribes from private parties in exchange for transferring to them state land on the Golan Heights. The damage is estimated at millions of shekels.

Gazit-Globe 2006 profit almost doubles to NIS 361m

Gazit-Globe Ltd today published its financial reports for the fourth quarter of 2006 and the year as a whole. The company posted a profit of NIS 361 million in 2006, compared with NIS 188 million in 2005, excluding one-time factors.
