Gaydamak buys old Russian Embassy building for $9m

The Russian Embassy was built in 1924 and designed by architect Yehuda Magidovich for the Levin family, one of Tel Aviv wealthiest families at the time. After changes in ownership, it became the Embassy of the USSR after Israel’s independence in 1948. The property has been unoccupied since the Russian Embassy moved to Ramat Gan.

Delek Auto, Clal Insurance negotiating $80m logistics center

A Delek Automotive subsidiary rents the 65-dunam (16.25-acre) lot, east of Tel Aviv, across the highway from Zerifin, on which the logistics center is located in a lease through 2045. The company also has an adjacent 68-dunam (17.5-acre) lot, currently zoned for agriculture, but parts of which are likely to be expropriated for access roads.

Tel Aviv: A 90-sq.m. three-room apartment with parking on Marc Chagall St. was sold for $350,000. A 122-sq.m. four-room apartment with a sea view on Samborski St., New Ramat Aviv, was sold for $420,000.

Givatayim: A 110-sq.m. four-room garden apartment on Plamach St. was sold for $245,000

Herzliya: A 110-sq.m. four-room apartment on Weizmann St. was sold for $256,000. A 130-sq.m. four-room apartment on Harav Goren St. was sold for $303,000. A 150-sq.m. five-room apartment on Shai Agnon St. was sold for $273,000. A 135-sq.m. four-and-a-half-room apartment in need of renovation on Yair Stern St. was sold for $271,000

Families show renewed interest in moving north

Reconstruction programs for Haifa and the north in the aftermath of the second Lebanon war has led to renewed interest by families to move into the area, says Office of the Vice Premier director general Efrat Duvdevani. She said the large amount of resources the government was channeling to the north was attracting Israelis to the Galilee.
